The Roundabout Desk offers solutions to two issues facing educators: growing class sizes and evolving curricula. The Roundabout Desk addresses the first issue by accommodating more students using less space. A group of four Roundabout Desks can efficiently seat up to eight students up to grade 2. Four larger surface Roundabout Desks can seat eight students from grade 3 through adult. The Roundabout Desk can be arranged to fit the day's lesson plan. For a lecture or testing, it can be lined up in rows; for group work, the desks can be arranged in partial and full circles. All of these configurations encourage students to participate and ultimately foster cooperative learning.
A tough bumper edge guard surrounds the high-pressure laminate surface, helping to resist wear. The legs, made of 14-gauge steel, resist scuffing; the 1" adjustable leveling glide caps add protection and help to provide stability on uneven floors.
